I had the wonderful 8 AM class for Tim Holtz and we made a Christmas Pull Toy from a configurations box and the new Bottle Brush Trees. We were able to use the new adhesives and glitter and they let us take it all home, best class and goodie bag ever. Then at the end they said that it was a Christmas class so they gave us one set of the new Christmas Stamps and set of the Christmas Cards from last year. It was a haul. Loved it.
I'm still posting from images we took at CHA, but two days after these photos were taken my son had to go into the hospital while in Chicago with us, that cut an entire day of photo taking out for us. Which is sad, but there were two of us taking photos this year, so we have nearly as many as we did last year. By the way, my son is fine. He's so much better, they took good care of us in Chicago.
Love the photos. That was a great kit and project!!
I'm so glad your son is fine.

Hope your son is doing well. I live in Chicago and my 6 yr old spends a lot of time in the hospital. We have amazing facilities here.

Glad your son is doing better. Love the Bottle Brush Trees. Can you tell me how tall the trees are and what product you used to color them?

Coloring those trees was a breeze. Add any re-inker color - 3 drops to a Mini Mister, or more if you want the color really saturated. Some people put 1/2 ink to water. Then let it dry. The frosted part came from use the ranger glue and the new cclorless glitter. I just used a few drops from my red/pink tree, but I emptied that Mini Mister on it. Some people did it twice. Make sure it's dry before the glue. I have the specs for that project. I can send them on. The trees take color from anything.

Thank you everyone who has talked about my son in the posts. I can't tell you how impressed I was with the hospital and care we were given. They didn't just take care of Kyle, the assistants made sure we were taking care of ourselves too. The whole staff was amazing.

Update on Tim's trees. I'm sure he was using the re-inkers in a much more concentrated amount and I bet ya he used a lot. Those trees soak it up. Then you could go back in with ink in a pad to give the tips a more pronounced look. when you Tim Holtz, you don't worry about how much product you are using. I love those trees. I think we used about $50 worth of product on that box alone.

My son is good. He still has a cough that they said would last a few weeks and not to worry - but other than that he's out being a kid again.
