Ok, today and the last few days the sneaks have been coming so fast I have not had time to comment. I will tell you that we hope to carry everything we are sneaking. We ordered Crate Paper, Studio Calico and Glitz Today. We are ordering tons more this week. So we on our way to having it all.
I had the wonderful 8 AM class for Tim Holtz and we made a Christmas Pull Toy from a configurations box and the new Bottle Brush Trees. We were able to use the new adhesives and glitter and they let us take it all home, best class and goodie bag ever. Then at the end they said that it was a Christmas class so they gave us one set of the new Christmas Stamps and set of the Christmas Cards from last year. It was a haul. Loved it.
I'm still posting from images we took at CHA, but two days after these photos were taken my son had to go into the hospital while in Chicago with us, that cut an entire day of photo taking out for us. Which is sad, but there were two of us taking photos this year, so we have nearly as many as we did last year. By the way, my son is fine. He's so much better, they took good care of us in Chicago.
today, i’m really happy to announce my new release for this show from ranger – metallic distress stains and more rock candy distress stickles. the new distress stains are simply incredible since not only are the metallic finishes so luminous, but the formulation of a semi-translucent metallic is amazing. these can be used on all of the surfaces you would use distress stains on including paper, fabric, and wood. they can also be used with the other translucent colors of distress stains for a layered effect. i think my favorite part of using these new metallic stains is the fact that in true distress style, they react with water so the blends and mottled effects are so cool. can’t wait to share a technique video on them. also we now have clear rock candy distress stickles in a few new ways. first up, distress stickles in a jar to easily apply to larger areas and project with the built in brush, so convenient. second, new distress stickles dry glitter with it’s random particle sizes and shimmery clear finish, this is so great to use over anything you want to add a bit of rock candy sparkle to. now today it’s time to finish things up around the studio and get packed – we leave in the morning for chicago…tick-tock…t!m
I have a class on Monday at CHA with Tim at 8 AM. First actual Tim class that I have taken, I have met him a few times at shows and all of that, but this is my first class. I'm so happy I was able to get into that one. So many people wanted this class that they had to make a lottery system to get into it. I was lucky.
I love this, I think it would go well with all of his designs.
Please let me know if you want these in the store, I'm concentrating on getting as much new as I can, but these would be a huge investment on top of the new stamps released as well.
We will likely get these as part of the entire TIm Holtz Release, we stilld don't carry Sizzix, but everything else we will. I really like these. I'm happy to see a Kid Friendly one in this batch and nicely done at that.
From Tim:
however one thing i’m MOST excited about this release is the look of a new series in my stamp collection thanks to a new artist i’m working with. that new artist would be mario rossi III (yes, mario’s son) and i love the collaboration we developed with this new blueprint series of images. this collection has a unique and industrial look of hand-drawn sketches and imagery just perfect for coloring (especially with distress markers). this first release has designs for fall, halloween, christmas, and of course minis of them all…
